Where Can You Buy Your Disney Lunar New Year Sip And Savor Pass?
At the Disney Lunar New Year Celebration, (January 21-February 13, 2022), to celebrate the Year of the Tiger, you can enjoy a variety of Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese-inspired foods! You can get your grub on at this celebration in the California Adventure Park with or without a sip and savor pass. If you plan to try at least 6 items though, it’s likely more cost-effective to get yourself the pass. Most people choose to purchase theirs at the designated Sip and Savor Cart, but we avoided a 15+ minute wait by heading to Seaside Souvenirs where there wasn’t a single person in line with this Disneyland Tip #1!

Want To Save Time When Ordering Food?
There are clearly a lot of Disney foodies because lines at the Lunar New Year Marketplace kiosks and other participating dining locations can get pretty long. Having multiple people in your party can work to your advantage when you want to make the most of your Disney Lunar New Year experience! One of us waited in the lengthy line at the Longevity Noodle Co. cart to order the Salted Pistachio Cold Brew while the other:
- went to Seaside Souvenirs to purchase our sip and savor pass
- then to the Cappuccino Cart, (across from the entrance to The Little Mermaid), to grab a couple Baked Char Siu Bao and a Mango Pineapple Pie
Disneyland Tip #2: Teamwork makes the dream work!
We enjoyed our tasty Bao while waiting another 5 minutes or so, and then it was time to order our cold brews – which were the perfect way to wash down the delicious pie!

Where’s The Best Viewing Spot For Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession?
This short, sweet, and beautiful parade-like experience is exclusive to the Disney Lunar New Year celebration. It starts at the Pixar Pier Gate, (across from the Silly Symphony Swings), travels to the Paradise Gardens Obelisk, (where the Cappuccino Cart is), then turns around for a second pass-by before ending back where they started. The great thing about this route is that there are so many great spots to view the show from, but the straightaway along the building for The Little Mermaid is spacious and has plenty of tables for guests to enjoy their lunar new year snacks while they watch!
Disneyland Tip #3
We grabbed a table on the side opposite from The Little Mermaid attraction about 30 minutes in advance so that one of us could save the spot while the other grabbed some Lunar New Year Disney food from the Prosperity Bao and Buns cart. This worked out in our favor because it was early afternoon and the sun was behind us while we waited for and viewed the show, which:
- Makes for better photos and videos
- Meant the umbrellas kept us shaded – which can be a life saver when you’re standing there for 45+ minutes!
